Autogas for America Stakeholders Make Strong Showing at World LP Gas Association's 'North American-European Summit'
WASHINGTON, Feb. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Stuart Weidie, founder of Autogas for America – the organization that serves as the unified voice of the autogas industry in the United States – was joined by stakeholders Brian Feehan of PERC, Tucker Perkins of CleanFUEL USA and Joe Thompson of Roush CleanTech on a panel that discussed the growth of the North American autogas market. The panel was part of today's agenda for the World Liquid Propane Gas Association (WLPGA) North America and Europe Summit.
Formally titled "Autogas is the Future of North America", the afternoon panel discussion highlighted the importance of autogas to the North American propane industry and was moderated by Washington Post automotive columnist Warren Brown.
The summit took place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington D.C. with representation from Autogas for America on several panels, including Jim Ferrell's (of Ferrellgas) participation in a morning discussion entitled, "Comparing and Contrasting North American and European Markets". The Autogas for America stakeholders represented at the summit were Roush CleanTech, Ferrellgas, Cavanga Group, CleanFUEL USA, and the Propane Education and Research Council (PERC). The summit was one of several international forums the global LPG organization plans to sponsor this year.
