Anderson joins AVG from Mozilla where he was SVP Business and Legal Affairs responsible for the Legal, Business Development, Public Policy, Marketplace and content product teams. Anderson's key accomplishments include the development of deep partnerships with mobile operators, search providers and device manufacturers, as well as the advancement of innovative web privacy 'Do Not Track' initiatives which are similar to AVG's ground breaking 'Do Not Track' privacy portfolio, which includes Secure Search and AVG PrivacyFix™.
Anderson brings more than 20 years of experience counseling leading technology companies in complex transactions, including privacy, equity financing, corporate governance, M&A and IP matters. Over the course of his esteemed career, Anderson held positions of increasing responsibility at companies such as Seven Networks, Flywheel Communications, Medscape and Netscape.

In his role with AVG, Anderson will lead all global legal matters including compliance and ethics; as well as be responsible for accelerating partner and business transactions, IP and partnership innovation. Anderson will also lead AVG privacy initiatives world-wide. He will work out of AVG Technologies' San Francisco office.
Anderson steps into the role previously held by Christophe Francois, AVG General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Mr. Francois has assumed the newly created role of Chief of Staff to Gary Kovacs, Chief Executive Officer. With over four years' tenure at AVG, Mr. Francois will be chartered with helping AVG to scale further and to drive the business growth strategy for 2014 and beyond. He will be based out of AVG's corporate headquarters in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
