Aviir Diagnostic Laboratories and Guard A Heart Sponsor Red Eye Inc.'s South Central Gardening Day on Saturday, April 28th

IRVINE, Calif., April 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Aviir Inc., a biotechnology company dedicated to the prevention of cardiovascular disease through innovative laboratory assessments, along with Guard A Heart, a non-profit foundation committed to heart disease prevention, will join forces with the community service organization Red Eye Inc. for its South Central Gardening Day. The event will take place on Saturday, April 28th at 10:00 a.m. at 2301 Bellevue Avenue, in the South Central neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The volunteer teams at Aviir along with its charitable arm, Guard A Heart, will plant and cultivate multiple varieties of fruit and vegetables, building the first neighborhood garden. Aviir's mission for this outing is to emphasize the beauty of the outdoors and at the same time help disadvantaged neighborhood kids develop a strong sense of ownership, increase self-esteem and become productive members of society.
