Avison Young adds powerhouse commercial real estate team to New Jersey office

Significant new hires expand firm's New Jersey presence;
William E. McCaffrey joins as a Principal

MORRISTOWN, NJ, Oct. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Jeffrey L. Heller, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's New Jersey office, announced today the hiring of a highly-experienced team of commercial real estate professionals to join the firm's newly-established New Jersey office as part of the firm's aggressive Tri-State market growth.

Effective immediately, William E. McCaffrey joins Avison Young as a Principal. McCaffrey, who brings more than 26 years of commercial real estate experience to his new role, was most recently an Executive-Vice President with CBRE in New Jersey, specializing in both tenant and landlord representation.

Additionally, Peter C. Hedley and Timothy J. Cadigan join Avison Young as Vice-Presidents in the New Jersey office. Hedley and Cadigan most recently served as senior associates at CBRE in New Jersey. Hedley specializes in the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate, as well as lease negotiations on behalf of both tenants and landlords. Cadigan primarily focuses on tenant representation services for both office and industrial real estate.

In addition to opening its first office in New Jersey last month, the company acquired New Jersey-based The Walsh Company, LLC two weeks ago. Since April, the company has also opened new offices in San Francisco, New York, Pittsburgh, Charleston, SC, South Florida, Detroit, Raleigh-Durham, and a third office in Los Angeles.
