Award-Winning Owner Acquires Orangetheory Fitness Shelton Studio Amidst Accelerated Connecticut Growth

BOCA RATON, Fla., May 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Orangetheory® Fitness, the scientifically backed and fast-growing fitness franchise, announced today multi-unit franchisee Mark Molina has acquired rights to the Shelton, Connecticut studio, which will grand reopen under his leadership at the end of May. This acquisition is part of Orangetheory Fitness's expansion plans to grow the brand's presence throughout the state of Connecticut, with a goal of doubling the company's studio count in the state by the end of 2017.

Molina successfully opened Connecticut's first Orangetheory Fitness studio in Fairfield in 2014. Since then, he has continued to expand the brand in the state, opening a second studio in Norwalk in 2016; his third studio is slated to open in Westport later this month. The Shelton studio, which is located at 704 Bridgeport Ave., will mark the fourth location for Molina throughout the state.
