Awareness Technologies Signs 100 Partners in First Six Months of New Channel Program
Appoints Former McAfee Director to Accelerate Channel Program Expansion
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Awareness Technologies Inc. (ATI), the only provider of Complete Insider Threat Security On-Demand, today marked the rapid growth of its channel program with more than 100 partners since launching just six months ago. The Company also announced it has appointed former McAfee Director, Dean Galbreath to the new position of Senior Director, Channel Sales to oversee the program's continued expansion.
ATI's expanding channel program includes resellers, distributors and master managed services providers (MSPs). Adding to the growing list of new partners signed in 2010 are key managed services distributors - Ingram Micro, the world's leading distributor of technology solutions; Do IT Smarter, a provider of managed and cloud-based services to a national network of partners ranging from value added resellers to MSPs; THISA, a national network of IT service providers specializing in Healthcare, Financial and Legal industries; Securedis, the UK's leading IT security distributor; and The MSP Centrifuge, a Peer Group focused on MSPs with similar lines of business applications.
"We've received overwhelmingly positive feedback from partners on the breadth and the quality of our technology, the ease of implementation for the SMB market, as well as the ability for reseller partners to easily white-label our solutions," said Ken Totura, Chief Channel Officer of Awareness Technologies.
Awareness Technologies' Partner Program was implemented in June 2010 in an effort to market the Company's unique on-demand Insider Threat Security services including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Web Filtering, Employee Monitoring and Laptop Recovery – all of which are available through one agent download and one control console – to IT services and solution providers in the U.S., Canada and the U.K.
Leveraging endpoint deployment and a cloud-based architecture, ATI has created the industry's most effective solution that works both on and off network for a flat monthly fee, deploys in minutes and does not require any hardware.
"Overall information security concerns continue to proliferate, highlighted by events like the release by WikiLeaks of US diplomatic cables – a direct example of the type of insider threats that Awareness Technologies' InterGuard solution addresses specifically," said Jack Monahan, Managing Principal of GS Advisors. "These events are spurring companies and Federal agencies in particular to re-evaluate existing policies and adopt new technologies to prevent confidential data from getting leaked."
Appoints Former McAfee Director Dean Galbreath to Senior Director, Channel Sales
In this newly created role, Galbreath will be responsible for strategic partner recruitment, sales & technical training, marketing efforts, and overall program management.
"Dean brings a deep technology, security and channel expertise necessary to help our partners navigate and succeed in today's growing managed services market. We look forward to Dean's added channel bench strengths in driving the expansion of our program," added Totura.
Galbreath has more than 20 years of experience in computer systems, networking and applications integration, with more than four years in the security solutions space. Previously, Galbreath managed McAfee's Partner Focus channel program in the West Region. Prior to McAfee, Galbreath served in various roles at MX Logic, IBM, Siemens, and ROLM. Additionally, he co-founded two managed services provider businesses. Galbreath holds a bachelor's of science degree in business administration and has been honored with several awards including Channel Director of the Year.
