Away.com Launches 'Spring Back to Vail' Travel Contest
Updated Ski & Snowboard Guide Helps Travelers Plan the Perfect End-of-Season Ski Getaway
WASHINGTON, March 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Away.com, a leading travel research and planning website, is joining with Vail Mountain and RockResorts to launch the Spring Back to Vail travel contest. The contest winner will receive a trip for two to the Spring Back to Vail festival, taking place April 15-24, 2011.
To enter the Spring Back to Vail travel challenge, contestants must write at least one review in Away.com's Ski & Snowboard Resort Guide by March 9, 2011. Away.com's editors will then select the best review based on quality of content, originality and creativity. The winner will be announced on or before March 16, 2011. Users can find more details about the contest including rules at http://www.away.com/contests/springbacktovail.
The Spring Back to Vail contest winner will receive a three-day/two-night getaway for two to Vail, Colorado, including accommodations at RockResorts' Lodge at Vail, roundtrip airfare and lift tickets. In addition, the contest winner will have the chance to be Away.com's official Spring Back to Vail correspondent during the event and blog about their experiences on Away.com.
"We are extremely happy to be able to join with Vail Resorts to offer one lucky winner a fantastic trip to the Spring Back to Vail event," says Away.com ski expert and editor, Pieter van Noordennen. "This is also a great opportunity for one of our readers to be a ski writer for a weekend and help us cover the biggest bash in the Rocky Mountains."
"We are thrilled to be a part of this contest and to share Vail's legendary 5,289 acres of skiable terrain, the iconic Lodge at Vail and the Spring Back to Vail experience with Away.com's users," said Adam Sutner, director of sales and marketing for Vail Mountain. "Spring Back to Vail has grown into the North American ski industry's premier mountain festival. In recent years Spring Back to Vail has featured names like Wyclef Jean, Kid Rock, O.A.R., Chris Isaak and the spectacular African pop band Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars. We're especially proud to once again offer this caliber of world-class entertainment to our new and loyal guests, free of charge."
