Axero Unveils Communifire 5.0 To Supercharge The Way Teams Collaborate

The newest version of the platform includes 6 major and 36 minor updates that enhance the user experience

SAN DIEGO, May 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Axero Solutions released version 5.0 of Communifire, its social networking platform for the enterprise, today that empowers employees to be more productive, engaged, and collaborative. The latest version includes a comprehensive series of updates designed to improve the user experience and enhance the way teams work together.  

Communifire integrates social networking software, collaboration tools, and knowledge sharing in a secure online environment that is flexible and scalable. It provides one single online hub where team members can engage with each other to achieve their goals.  The new-and-improved platform includes 6 major updates.

Communifire Chat is a real-time chat capability that replaces the private messaging feature. It is integrated directly inside the Communifire platform and enables team members to strike up conversations with individuals, as well as groups. Chats can be opened in their own dedicated windows, like many consumer chat applications, and are mobile ready. Users can drag and drop to share files, photos, and documents, and set their status. Everything is searchable, so people can always refer back to important conversations and discussions.

Axero's new native mobile apps for iOS and Android also drive productivity by giving users instant, secure, one-touch access to the social business platform. Employees now have a cleaner, seamless, streamlined user interface for accessing their company's collaboration portal. They can work on-the-go and avoid miscommunication.

In addition, Communifire 5.0 includes a number of new tools for managing content. The Required Reading functionality allows an author to flag content as mandatory reading. It also tracks the users who have indicated that they have read the content and those who have not. Users can view content that they need to read in the My Account sections. This feature is available for articles, blogs, wikis, files, videos, and ideas. The Bookmarking capability enables users to bookmark their favorite or important content, eliminating time and effort wasted on searching.  

Axero is also proud to announce that it is now 508 compliant, meaning that Communifire meets the standards laid out by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 that requires federal agencies to provide accessible technology to people with disabilities.

Finally, the Communifire FileSync for Windows Desktop app enables users to sync files from their local computer to their Communifire web application and vice versa, ensuring that all files are organized and empowering users to work with their files from anywhere and on multiple computers.  

Beyond these major updates, Axero made 36 minor updates as well that will enhance the overall experience. These include (but are not limited to) the ability to convert all content to PDF, new REST API components, comment workflows, displays of unread notifications and message threads, international and user preference data support, cases due dates and milestones, CMS page enhancements, mobile optimized pages, Vimeo video sharing, and more.
