AXIOM Systems, Inc. Announces General Release of HIPAA 5010 Testing Solutions

FREDERICK, Md., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- AXIOM Systems, Inc. (AXIOM), considered the "Healthcare IT Industry Experts", today announced the general release of products and services that assist organizations in the testing of HIPAA 5010.

The HIPAA 5010 initiative requires extensive testing of internal processes and external trading partner capabilities due to the large number of format changes; it imposes a larger challenge, to test the business impacts inherent in the 5010 regulation changes.

4010 to 5010 Data Converter Utility -- This converter utility provides the ability to convert current production 4010 input files to a 5010 "state" in order to gain a significant head start to an organizations internal testing requirements.

TransSend Testing Module -- This application accepts all inbound and outbound HIPAA X12 transaction files and allows users to create and modify HIPAA 5010 transactions using intuitive browser based screens to support the creation of test cases and to manage their status from end to end.  The application can be deployed as a hosted service or installed locally.

5010 Packaged Test Scenarios -- AXIOM's Healthcare Subject Matter Experts have created a pre-packaged set of test scenarios and test case variations for each of the HIPAA transaction sets affected by 5010.  These test cases are intended to test those business areas impacted by the 5010 regulatory changes.
