Axion Power™ to Present at The Jefferies 11th Global Clean Technology Conference on February 24
NEW CASTLE, Penn., Feb. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Axion Power International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: AXPW), the developer of advanced lead-carbon PbC® batteries, today announced that the Company will present at the Jefferies 11th Global Clean Technology Conference, to be held February 23 - 24, 2011, at the New York Palace Hotel in New York City.
Axion Power's Chief Executive Officer Thomas Granville is scheduled to present on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. ET in the Kennedy II Room (4th Floor) and will discuss Axion's advanced technology products. Axion's proprietary PbC® energy storage device has unique performance characteristics due to the utilization of an activated carbon negative electrode that replaces the lead negative electrode found in lead-acid batteries. The altered chemistry provides the end PbC product with unique characteristics including: longer cycle life, significantly faster recharge capabilities and vastly improved charge acceptance (5 to 10 times greater) when compared to other advanced lead-acid battery technologies. Granville will also cover customer base, addressable market and the competitive landscape.
Management will be available for one-on-one meetings with analysts and investors during February 23 and 24. Interested parties who wish to meet with the Company's management team may contact Rudy Barrio at Allen & Caron Inc directly at 212-691-8087, e-mail: [email protected].
