AxisCare Unveils Axi Assist, an AI Receptionist for Home Care

New AI-powered capability helps agencies manage caregiver call-offs, missed clock-ins, and critical communications around the clock

One of its first applications addresses a persistent challenge for home care agencies: caregiver call-offs. When a caregiver calls to report that they cannot make a shift, Axi Assist captures the details and gets the scheduling process moving right away. The capability can also handle calls after hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, helping agencies respond to important issues that might otherwise sit in voicemail until a coordinator is available.

Axi Assist also helps agencies address missed clock-ins through automated caregiver outreach that begins one minute after the start of their shift.  The outreach happens within the window where a caregiver can still clock themselves in on time, helping visits stay compliant and billable while reducing the need for office staff to chase down missed clock-ins.
