Back to the Past Collectibles Hosts Rare Gold and Silver, Original Comic Art Auctions in Michigan
REDFORD, Mich., Oct. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Two outstanding auction sessions are coming to Back to the Past Collectibles on Saturday, October 19th. We start with a gold and silver coin session at Noon Eastern, featuring U.S. Gold American Eagle proof sets from 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 2001, 2003, 2004 and other gold coins. Many 1 ounce U.S. Silver Eagle coins, as well. The auction also includes paper currency, such as a rare 1934A $1000 bill.

"The gold and silver session comes from a single owner estate," says Back to the Past auctioneer Andy Cirinesi, who also notes the pristine condition of the majority of the lots. "You don't often see this much investment quality metal in one auction. Even if you're not an investor in gold bullion, this auction session includes mint sets and type coins, so there will be something for every level of coin enthusiast."
At 6PM, the afternoon session kicks off and features an original owner collection containing comic art original paintings & drawings from Bill Ward and Carmine Infantino, as well as many more renowned comic book artists, with ten and twelve cent comic books and limited edition prints rounding out the auction. Many of the comic issues are from the 1956 to 1962 late Gold/early Silver era where finding copies is increasingly tough to do. Several key and semi-key issues are represented here, and the full catalog can be found through our website.
