The acquisition includes the assets and clients of Results Weight Loss as well as the affiliated 1-800-Weight-Loss brand, immediately adding 16 new locations, thousands of customers and exclusive genetic testing to the BalanceDiet portfolio and solidifying the company's dominant presence in the Florida weight-loss marketplace.

The previous owners of Results Weight Loss, facing foreclosure, had handed the business over to creditors in December 2011. Less than a day before the chain of diet centers was scheduled to cease operations, BalanceDiet's Board acted quickly to assume ownership of the company.
