(NYSE: BANC) today announced the Company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 Index effective after the close of trading on Tuesday, March 29. The Company will also be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS Regional Banks Sub-Industry Index.
The S&P SmallCap 600 Index measures the small-cap segment of the U.S. equity market. The index is designed to track companies that meet specific inclusion criteria to ensure that they are liquid and financially viable. Introduced in 1994, the S&P SmallCap 600 is designed to measure the performance of 600 small-size companies in the U.S. The index was constructed to be an efficient benchmark composed of small-cap companies that meet investability and financial viability criteria.
