Bask Magazine: A New Lifestyle Publication for a New Era of Luxury in Balance
Noted Publisher Launches Magazine for Sophisticated SoCal Readers
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., July 26 /PRNewswire/ -- 2010 ushered in a new decade - and a new era of luxury living, in balance. This year also will mark the debut of Bask™ – a new quarterly lifestyle magazine intentionally designed to capture the essence of this new approach to luxury living for sophisticated readers across Southern California.
"Beginning with the winter issue releasing this November, Bask (www.baskmagazine.com) will enthrall readers with ways to celebrate the finer things in life - from fashion and food to home and travel, galas and golf, and things eco and luxe," says Jolie Adams, the magazine's publisher. "Bask will be the only Southern California affluent lifestyle magazine created for the new era of luxury, with thoughtfully edited content and beautifully designed pages that reflect our readers' sense of balance, wit and timeless style."
As Co-Founder and Publisher, Adams brings to Bask an impressive track record of successful Southern California lifestyle magazine launches, including co founding the Riviera Magazines in both Orange County and San Diego – a franchise she helmed from the 2001 launch until 2008, having grown the publications to a $10 million annual operation. More recently, she leveraged her unmatched ability to develop hit lifestyle publications in the role of Associate Publisher of M Magazine, a luxury real estate magazine focused on Orange County.
Joining Adams in the Bask magazine joint venture is Surterre Properties, one of Southern California's leading luxury residential real estate firms. The highly successful firm will provide the financial backing essential to ensure the magazine's sustained growth and longevity. The partnership also will deliver the unmatched branding and marketing acumen of Surterre Properties Chief Marketing Officer, Paula Ansara-Wilhelm, who will serve as the magazine's President and is renowned for her ability to effectively reach the publication's demographic – affluent men and women, ages 35-60.
"Bask will offer a dynamic mix of editorial content for men and women, as well as leading-edge interactive components that no other Southern California lifestyle delivers," says Ansara-Wilhelm. "Today's savvy readers demand that publications not only have an impressive print presence, but also content-rich web-based coverage and digital capabilities. Bask will deliver these elements that no other magazine in our space is offering."
While Surterre Properties is capitalizing the magazine, the publication's primary focus will not be on real estate, though home stories will be included in Bask's unique, SoCal take on fashion, shopping, travel, dining, golf, culture, sustainability and philanthropy.
Each quarter, Bask will reach more than 150,000 readers in coastal Orange County, Beverly Hills, Bel-Air, La Jolla and Rancho Santa Fe via direct mail, an aggressive racking program at fine boutiques, retailers, and restaurants and on select premier newsstands.
"Sophisticated Southern California readers will revel in Bask's intelligent, trend-conscious coverage and rely on it as a timely resource to identify the quality goods, services, places and people they want to be part of their luxury-with-perspective lifestyles today," says Adams. "We are thrilled to break new ground for readers and advertisers in this new era of balanced luxury living."
