Bates Group LLC Launches Bates Research Group

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore., Feb. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Bates Group LLC, a leading securities litigation consulting firm, is pleased to announce the launch of the Bates Research Group in conjunction with Pegasus Research.  Bates Research is focused on providing institutional, law firm clients and individual practitioners with independent and unbiased research on the economy, equity and fixed-income markets, derivatives, and other topics that dominate the current U.S. and global economic, investment and legal landscape. In addition, Bates Research Group will provide publicly available white papers related to markets and complex products.

Director Greg Kyle, the founder of Pegasus Research and the former head of Union Bank of Switzerland's U.S. research efforts in Switzerland, will lead the Bates Research Group.  Greg has spent twenty-five years providing independent market, sector, and company-specific research to clients and has conducted valuation analysis for public and private companies.  Greg has authored numerous studies that have appeared in BloombergBusinessWeek, the Economist, Fortune, Forbes and Barron's.  He has also written for the Wall Street Journal and serves as an expert witness and consultant for securities related litigation.

Senior Manager Alex Russell, who has been responsible for managing, researching and writing reports that analyze the fixed income, equity, and structured product markets, will join Greg.  Alex, a CFA charterholder, has extensive experience as a forensic investigator and consultant in financial litigation cases.
