Baylor Health Care System Foundation Reaches $500 Million Milestone

DALLAS, Sept. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Thanks to generous donor support, Baylor Health Care System Foundation has reached an extraordinary milestone, raising more than $500,000,000 since its inception in 1978.

With an active annual donor base of individuals, foundations and corporate sponsors, the Foundation enjoys wide support from the Dallas philanthropic community. This remarkable achievement is highlighted by transformational gifts from many of the leading citizens in this region, including gifts of $20 million from the Sammons Family and the Men and Women of Sammons Enterprises, Inc.; $20 million from Annette C. and Harold C. Simmons; $12.4 million from the Deerbrook Charitable Trust; and $10 million from T. Boone Pickens.
