New program designed to accelerate start-up success to bring healthcare and medical technology innovations to market
FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. and NEW YORK, July 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) and Guidepoint today announced BD & Guidepoint Mentor, a new program providing selected start-up healthcare companies with free access to Guidepoint's expert network services.
BD is currently mentoring several start-ups that are developing cutting-edge technologies to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes and, with the help of a dedicated Guidepoint research manager, each start-up entrepreneur will be able to directly engage with industry experts across the entire healthcare ecosystem, gaining insights that help them shape their strategic plans.
This new program is part of BD's larger global innovation initiative to find and nurture new growth opportunities at the intersection of healthcare, medtech and digital technologies. Through partnerships with business accelerators such as Breakout Labs and IBM Alpha Zone, BD is supporting promising start-ups with BD mentors, financial grants and access to other resources.
