(NASDAQ: MFRM), will launch online at dreambed.com on Oct. 1, 2015, kicking off a nationwide "Buy a Dream. Give a Dream." mattress donation effort. Customers who purchase a Dream Bed will ensure one twin bed is donated to a child or family in need. Registration for The Dream Bed early bird exclusive offer is available online today through September 30.

Murphy turned to Dan Dietz, vice president of digital at Mattress Firm, to lead an employee innovation team to advance the concept of The Dream Bed as part of the company's strategic omni-channel retail plan. The team's mission was to create the best bed-in-a-box product on the market, while creating a meaningful connection with new customers.

The Dream Bed will come in two models – The Dream Bed Original and The Dream Bed Cool – which features a built-in cooling layer. The Dream Bed Cool will be the first temperature cooling bed-in-a-box on the market – an area where The Dream Bed innovation team noted the lack of choices in the category. Both versions will feature memory foam and latex foam interiors to provide a comfortable sleep experience. A queen-sized Dream Bed Original will cost $829 with the queen-sized Dream Bed Cool priced at $999.
