Beechwood Hotel Announces Laurant Olivier As New Banquet Chef
WORCESTER, Mass., May 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Beechwood Hotel has announced the appointment of Laurant Olivier as its new banquet chef for meetings and events. Olivier holds a degree from The Culinary Institute of Normandy in France and has extensive experience in Europe and New England. Olivier's past experience brings a worldly and classical take to the Beechwood's menu for functions held in the hotel's versatile event space in Worcester MA.

Early in his career, he gained experience from the Hunt Kendall Ham Polo Club, The Bleeding Heart, and Churchill Air Intercontinental. He moved to New England and put his talents to work in Connecticut where The Still River Cafe's owner took notice and hired him as chef de cuisine. With Olivier's leadership, the restaurant received numerous accolades including the highest recommendation from the New York Times. Prior to becoming banquet chef at the Beechwood Hotel, Olivier most recently worked as executive sous chef at Le Relais Des Iles in Normandy, France.
