BEEcube Inc. Announces the Availability of the FMC DAC/ADC Module
FREMONT, Calif., Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- BEEcube Inc. today announces the immediate availability of their latest FMC DAC/ADC module. Our FMC DAC/ADC module is a combined DAC/ADC on a single FMC board with a footprint of 16.5mm x 69mm. On its own, or coupled with BEEcube's BEE4 hardware platform, the FMC DAC/ADC module is perfectly suited for front-end and back-end signal processing.

BEEcube's FMC DAC/ADC module is a single width FMC mezzanine card providing a 12-bit, 2.3 GSps multi-Nyquist digital-to-analog converter and a 12-bit and a 1 GSps analog-to-digital converter. Individual SMA connectors are provided for the DAC input clock, and ADC input signal.
All on-board analog voltages are generated by ultra low noise linear regulators with ferrite beads to prevent noise coupling through the power supplies. To reduce noise introduced into the system through EMI, the DAC and ADC circuits are also each contained in separate can enclosure ties to chassis ground further insulation.
The FMC DAC/ADC module in intended for use in high-precision applications where a flexible analog front-end capable of direct RF sampling is coupled with FPGA based back-end signal processing capabilities.
BEEcube's FMC DAC/ADC board can be purchased independently or bundled with BEEcube's latest hardware platform, the BEE4-W.
BEE4-W Meets Dynamic Mission Critical Prototyping Needs
With four (4) integrated ADC and DAC solutions, the Xilinx Virtex-6 FPGA based BEE4-W enables a wide range of high-performance, real-time implementations in multiple military and defense applications.
BEE4-W allows for flexible algorithm and feature set definitions and as a result excels as a true realtime development and deployment platform for:
- Radar applications
- Signal Intelligence
- MIMO communications
- Software defined radio (SDR)
- Wireless (Digital Based RF) Algorithm Applications
