Before the Bell Scans of Invesco, American Capital, Prospect Capital, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., and Eaton Vance
LONDON, April 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Financial markets have stabilized since late last year as concerns over the Eurozone debt crisis eased. The last-minute fiscal cliff deal has also boosted investors' sentiment. These factors, combined with the cheap money provided by central banks in developed world, have been pushing asset prices higher. Equity markets in the U.S. have been trading at multi-year highs. European stocks also had a decent run in the first quarter. With confidence returning to market, asset managers such as Invesco Ltd. (NYSE: IVZ), American Capital Ltd. (NASDAQ: ACAS), Prospect Capital Corporation (NASDAQ: PSEC), and Eaton Vance Corp. (NYSE: EV) are looking positive. Cheap money is also likely to boost investment from private equity investment firms such as Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (NYSE: KKR), which had been sitting on the sidelines post the financial crisis of 2009. Asset management stocks ended mostly higher on Thursday as the broad market ended the day in green.
