Nathan A. Van Prooyen, Chief Marketing Officer and Director
Nathan A. Van Prooyen leads Cognitiv's team of marketing professionals in his new role as chief marketing officer. Nathan is an industry-recognized expert in e-commerce often cited in leading national media outlets, including USA Today, Newsweek, the Wall Street Journal, and CNN.

Nathan's experience includes over fourteen years of leading and developing marketing strategies for Internet-technology companies, particularly those involving e-commerce. In his role as vice president of e-commerce at Travel Holdings, Nathan led the only travel company in the Inc. 500 to five consecutive years of 200% business-to-consumer sales growth. As chief marketing officer for XP Solutions, LLC, he led the business-to-consumer arm of a top-three US printer-consumables company to two consecutive years of 150% growth.

Michael Hlavsa, Chief Financial Officer and Director
Michael brings to Cognitiv over thirty-eight years of combined financial and executive experience. He has held designations as a certified public accountant, certified internal auditor, and is currently a chartered global management accountant.

Michael was previously the chief financial officer and a director of Gerova Financial Group, Ltd. and Fund.com Inc. Michael also has served as chief executive officer for SunCruz Casinos, then the largest day-cruise gaming company in the United States, before forming Signature Gaming Management LLC, a consulting firm advising emerging companies on financial, operational, and internal control matters.

Michael received a bachelor of science degree from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.
