Benjamin Brinneman, Founder of C Squared Trading, Featured on Wall Street Journal's MarketWatch
The Charlotte, NC trader explains his investing principles and seeks to help others achieve success by using his methodology.
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Benjamin Brinneman was recently interviewed by Laura Mandaro on MarketWatch.com, the Wall Street Journal's investor-focused website. He shared his philosophy about how to make money trading stocks in a volatile market, emphasizing shares under $10.
"The market's all over the place, and people are getting frustrated about the up and down movement," Brinneman said. "But the biggest thing we try to do is ignore the crazy ups and downs and try to focus in on certain stocks that are basically breaking out.
"I like to find stocks that trend up and down in the same range and take profits from them over and over," he said. "I also like to see stocks go down on no news, and ask myself should that be down there? I research them, and if I believe they're trading at a major discount, I buy and hold them until they approach their book value."
The Charlotte, NC trader has achieved personal success with his methods, dating back to his earliest interest in stocks while in college. He researched Apple (AAPL), and purchased its stock at $60/share. He eventually sold it at $185-$400. He went on to become a bond trader/trustee for US Bancorp and an analyst for a wealth management firm. It was at that point he decided to create C Squared Trading, and teach other investors the methods that had brought him success.
C Squared Trading offers three levels of training, allowing each type of investor to find the appropriate instruction they need. A beginner's course, teaching C Squared's guide to success, sells for $199. An advanced training course, in which Brinneman reviews trades and shows how to detect profit patterns, is $997. And for the ultra-serious traders who want to immerse themselves in his methodology, an elite course with personal mentorship is available for $4900. Those who purchase any of these courses may also add C Squared Trading's premium stock alerts for $50/month. Brinneman's investment philosophy is also detailed on his blog, found at http://csquaredtrading.com.
"When someone enrolls in one of my courses, I take their individual needs to heart," Brinneman said. "I want them to succeed. I want them to make money. I want them to have a rewarding life."
