Bennett Mill Single Barrel Straight Bourbon: Best in Show at Heartland Whiskey Competition

GENEVA, Ill., June 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Fox River Distilling Company, a local craft distillery headquartered in Geneva, Illinois, announced that their Bennett Mill Single Barrel Straight Bourbon™ received numerous awards and accolades from the judges at the 2017 Heartland Whiskey Competition held May 18th in Chicago, Illinois.

Bennett Mill Single Barrel Straight Bourbon™, which continues to win awards and is noted for its exceptionally smooth and flavorful character, was awarded BEST IN SHOW out of more than 75 whiskey products from ten states, including KY, TN, OH, MI, IN, IL, WI, MN, IA and MO.It also won the trophy for BEST IN STATE, and a GOLD MEDAL for the sub-category "Straight Whiskey." The 2017 Heartland Whiskey Competition was sponsored by the Illinois Corn Marketing Board and sanctioned by the American Craft Spirits Association, a trade organization representing over 200 professional craft distilleries across the country.

This follows a win at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, one of the most prestigious and influential spirits competitions in the world.
