Berger & Montague, P.C. is Investigating Defective Takata Airbags That May Rupture, Burst or Explode, Causing Injuries to Vehicle Occupants
PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The law firm of Berger & Montague, P.C. is investigating a potential class action lawsuit suit against Takata Corporation, a Japanese manufacturer of airbags used by auto manufacturers. According to documents filed with the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration ("NHTSA"), certain airbags made by Takata may improperly rupture, burst, or explode, causing serious injuries to vehicle occupants. According to NHTSA, at least 7.8 million vehicles now pose an immediate threat to front-seat passengers. The faulty airbags have been installed in vehicles made by Toyota, Honda, Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Chrysler, Ford and General Motors. A list of the recalled vehicles can be found below.
This is a serious safety issue, which can lead to serious injury or even death. Accordingly, NHTSA has urged owners of the affected vehicles to act immediately on recall notices to replace defective Takata airbags.
