Regional Ratings Winner Begins National Emergence
LOS ANGELES, June 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Just five months after its January premiere in New England, late-night talk/entertainment show 'Bianca' is expanding to seven CBS-owned stations in major markets. Joining the 'Bianca' station lineup for weekly Saturday night broadcasts are KCBS (Los Angeles), KYW (Philadelphia), KTVT (Dallas), WKBD (Detroit), WCCO (Minneapolis), KDKA (Pittsburgh), and WJZ (Baltimore).

The program, created by former Boston news anchor Bianca de la Garza, combines celebrity interviews and field pieces with pop culture, fashion, comedy and signature features like B Fearless in which Bianca goes way beyond her comfort zone by zip lining in the jungle, surfing, trying standup comedy and singing during a sellout concert. De la Garza, a single Latina mother who anchored New England's #1 award-winning morning show explained, "I'm no better than the next person at any of these things, but this no-holds-barred approach lends itself to our fun party-like vibe."
After 17 years on top of the news ratings heap in her native Boston, the 39-year-old journalist who earned Emmy kudos for her coverage of the Royal Wedding of William and Kate, exclusive interviews with world leaders like Mohammed Al-Fayed and exposes of human trafficking and illegal sweatshops, formed Lucky Gal Productions. That entity is the "Bianca" production company for the series, which is the flipside of news -- spontaneous entertainment with an informational twist.
The stations debuting all-new episodes of "Bianca" for a 10-week run on Saturday nights are:
KCBS Channel 2 in Los Angeles – 11:35 p.m.-12:05 a.m. PDT.
KYW Channel 3 in Philadelphia – 11:35 p.m.-12:05 p.m. EDT.
KTVT Channel 11 in Dallas-Fort Worth – 10:35 p.m.-11:05 p.m. CDT.
WKBD Channel 50 in Detroit – 11:00 p.m.-11:30 p.m. EDT.
WCCO Channel 4 in Minneapolis-St. Paul – 11:05 p.m.-11:35 p.m. CDT.
KDKA Channel 2 in Pittsburgh – 11:35 p.m.-12:05 a.m. EDT.
WJZ Channel 13 in Baltimore – 11:35 p.m.-12:05 a.m. EDT.
All the above stations are affiliated with the CBS Television Network, except WKBD-TV, which is a CW affiliate.
