Bill Jacobs Chevy-Plainfield Teams Up With the Plainfield Athletic Club to Support Youth Baseball

PLAINFIELD, Ill., April 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Bill Jacobs Plainfield - one of the leading Chevy dealers in Plainfield, IL is very excited to announce that they have partnered with the Plainfield Athletic Club and the Chevrolet Youth Baseball program to help out youth baseball leagues. The dealership will provide new equipment, instructional clinics, financial donation, and the opportunity to raise an additional $10,000 through a Chevrolet vehicle sweepstakes. The program began on March 1st and runs until July 15, 2012.

Bill Jacobs Plainfield's community relations coordinator, Angie Adamsheck is thrilled that the dealership is involved with Chevrolet and youth baseball.

Chevrolet's Youth Baseball program has helped raise over $13 million to aid local community teams. The program is in its seventh year and has affected more than 2.7 million young people in communities where Chevrolet customers live, work and play. In 2012 alone, there are over 1,600 Chevrolet dealerships participating.

According to Gousios, Bill Jacobs Plainfield will be giving the Plainfield Athletic Club 10 new equipment kits that will include equipment bags, baseball buckets, whiffle balls, hitting net, batting tees and Chevrolet Youth Baseball t-shirts. Clinics will also be provided and these will feature former major and minor league baseball players and coaches and instructors from Ripken baseball.

In addition to the equipment the dealership will also present a check to the athletic club to help out with funds. The teams will even had an opportunity to raise additional funds through the Chevrolet Youth Baseball fundraiser. The leagues will receive 2,000 fundraiser tickets to distribute for a donation and the leagues will be able to keep all of the proceeds they raise. On top of that, at the end of the fundraiser, five winners will be selected, one from each region, to win a Chevy Equinox or Cruze.
