SCRANTON, Pa., April 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- As the Lackawanna Energy Center celebrates its April 23rd Ground Breaking Ceremony, local businessman and developer Bill Rinaldi continues to work closely with the Jessup community, Invenergy, and other stakeholders he has brought together to make the LEC a reality.
"Now that the Lackawanna Energy Center is officially coming to fruition, I'm thrilled that Jessup and the residents of Northeastern PA will benefit from the efforts which resulted in a $1.2 Billion economic investment in our community," said Bill Rinaldi. "The April 23rd Ground Breaking Ceremony marks the dawn of a new era in Jessup … one that is full of opportunity leading to a brighter, cleaner future."
Responsible for setting the Lackawanna Energy Center project in motion, Bill Rinaldi first began connecting the involved parties 5 years ago. Through skillful networking and research, Mr. Rinaldi was able to bring the necessary players together to create a state-of-the-art facility that will provide Jessup and surrounding areas with reliable clean energy and economic opportunity.
In addition to working closely with both Jessup and the Invenergy team, Bill Rinaldi is also working with the hydroponics company Veritas, who has expressed interest in creating a modern greenhouse to use re-purposed, waste-derived resources like CO2 to produce sustainable, healthy food for Jessup local markets. Mr. Rinaldi believes the possibilities for growth and conservation in Jessup are endless, and the Veritas Greenhouse is only the beginning.
