Irving has been named a 2017 honoree of the American Bankruptcy Institute's (ABI) 40 Under 40. The award recognizes bankruptcy, insolvency, and restructuring professionals from around the world who are 40 years old or younger as of December 1, 2017.
Recipients are selected based on a number of qualities and characteristics including achievements on behalf of clients, community service, personal integrity, and professional service. Nominations are judged by a committee of senior professionals representing the diversity of the bankruptcy community.

Irving is a long-standing member of ABI and has served the organization as a member of the Advisory Panel to the ABI Southeast Workshop since 2016, and as an ABI CARE Program volunteer since 2015.
