Birch Announces Technology Donation to Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless

ATLANTA, Feb. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Birch Communications, Inc., ("Birch") a leading technology service provider of IP-based communications, broadband, cloud and IT-services to small, mid-sized, enterprise and wholesale businesses, today announced that it has donated more than 50 laptop and desktop computers to the Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless.  The donation will be used at the organization's Peachtree-Pine shelter, one of the largest homeless shelters in Atlanta. 

"Supporting the communities in which our employees live and work is central to our philosophy at Birch," said Vincent M. Oddo, President and CEO of Birch.  "This technology donation will be used to help facilitate job skills training at the shelter, which currently serves roughly 1,000 homeless men and women daily."

Birch has a significant number of staff and several facilities in the Metro Atlanta area, including its headquarters, a data center and its Atlanta Operations Center, which employees more than 450 people.  Birch and its staff support a wide-variety of community-based organizations and initiatives throughout the metro Atlanta area as well as many other communities across the country.
