Birmingham Retailers To Host Pop-Up Street Fashion Show Benefitting Detroit Garment Group
BIRMINGHAM, Mich., April 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, April 23rd, Darakjian Jewelers and dolce MODA will be hosting a roaming fashion show on the streets of downtown Birmingham, showcasing Rebecca, an Italian jewelry line for women, as well as spring fashion trends for men. Proceeds from sales at both retailers will benefit Detroit Garment Group, a non-profit organization cultivating education and economic development opportunities for Michigan's fashion community, as well as cut and sew manufacturers of all industries.

Beginning at 11:30am on April 23rd, twenty models, ten male and ten female, will walk the streets of downtown Birmingham between Darakjian Jewelers on Willits Street and the new dolce MODA location on Maple Road, wearing the latest fashions from both retailers. Passersby are encouraged to interact with the models throughout the day, as a total of 80 swag bags will be given away, with four bags containing certificates for Rebecca jewelry pieces from Darakjian Jewelers valued at $250 each and four bags containing certificates for menswear from dolce MODA valued at $225 each. Recipients of the swag bags must visit both retailers to determine the value of their gift bag.
Currently, and through the day of the event, Rebecca jewelry is being worn by select stylists at 6 Salon (Birmingham location only), Luigi Bruni, FIGO Salon, and Antonino Salon & Spa as preview to the main event on the 23rd.
