BJ's Wholesale Club Opens in Gainesville, VA

GAINESVILLE, Va., Jan. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BJ's Wholesale Club is pleased to announce the opening of its newest Virginia location at the Promenade at Virginia Gateway Town Center, 5100 Wellington Road in Gainesville, VA. The 80,000 square-foot club offers significant savings on groceries, including a wide selection of USDA certified organic and natural varieties, and general merchandise including premium consumer electronics and brand-name appliances.

In recognition of the new Club opening, BJ's will host Grand Opening Celebrations on Saturday January 28 and Sunday January 29. Current Members and the public at large are invited to sample a variety of food and beverages and visit with balloon artists and face painters.

BJ's Wholesale Club takes great pride in being a good corporate citizen and is dedicated to giving back to the Gainesville community. Reflecting BJ's commitment to educational excellence, the new Gainesville club has partnered with the G. Tyler Elementary School as part of BJ's Adopt-a-School program. BJ's will also partner with and provide donations to The Transitional Housing Barn, Inc., which provides temporary housing and supportive services for women and children, and SERVE of Northern Virginia Family Service to help individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency. The Gainesville Club will participate in BJ's Feeding Communities program, which will help those in the community who suffer from hunger, by providing excess produce, meat and fish to the Capital Area Food Bank, and unsold bakery items will be donated to SERVE and the House of Mercy on a weekly basis.
