(BCBSF) announced today that it is the official state sponsor for the 2011 National Senior Health & Fitness Day®, the nation's largest older adult health promotion event. More than 1,000 local organizations and 100,000+ older adults will participate in health and wellness activities across the country on this day, Wednesday, May 25.

Dozens of local Florida organizations will host events May 25, all with the same goal: to help promote active, healthy lifestyles through physical fitness, good nutrition and preventive care. These local health and fitness events are an excellent opportunity for Florida's older adults to make, renew, and revitalize their commitment to live healthier lives through better health and fitness.
