NEW YORK, Nov. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Horizon Stem Cells (BHSC) announced a strategic partnership with "Leading Edge with Jimmy Johnson", to inform public television audiences on the current status of medical stem cell treatments.
BHSC identified patient education as a primary goal for 2013. The company named well regarded documentary film makers Leading Edge, of Pompano Beach, FL to help realize Blue Horizon's educational vision.
Blue Horizon's Founder and Chief Medical Officer Brian Mehling, MD says, "The term "stem cells" is broadly recognized and has meaning to many people. However, stem cell research science and available treatments are not generally well understood by the public. We hope educational efforts, like this one with public television, will help patients know that they have stem cell treatment options."
Mehling continues, "BHSC promotes education many ways. We reach younger cohort groups through popular culture social outreach." Mehling returned recently from Shangdong Province in Hubei China where he keynoted an academic conference on Hematopoietic Stem Cells and Leukemia. For other market segments, the company hired the world's first supermodel, Janice Dickinson, to be spokesperson for a stem-cell-based skin care range.
John Ferguson, President and CEO of Blue Horizon International says, "Blue Horizon creates new product categories that require explanation and education to bring the public along with us."
