Board of Directors of The HNBA Legal Education Fund

WASHINGTON, Sept. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The HNBA Legal Education Fund ("The Fund") announces the addition of four members to its Board of Directors: Jim Rowader, Hannah Breshin-Otero, Thomas A. Warnock, and Edye Aranda Bauer.  

Jim Rowader is Vice President and General Counsel, Employee and Labor Relations, Target Corporation ("Target").  In this capacity, Mr. Rowader leads a department of more than 85 team members, including 18 attorneys, 10 paralegals and 67 Human Resource professionals responsible for all labor and employment litigation, Employment Relations/Labor Relations strategy, Human Resource Compliance, Human Resource legislative strategy, and field investigations. Mr. Rowader began his career with Target in 1994 as Employee Relations Counsel. He has held various positions within Employee Relations and Labor Relations and was promoted to his current position in September of 2008. Prior to Target, Mr. Rowader was an attorney for the National Labor Relations Board in Detroit, and subsequently for a Twin Cities law firm. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Hispanic Bar Association.

Hannah Breshin-Otero is Senior Counsel for Labor and Employment at DynCorp International LLC in Falls Church, Virginia.  In this capacity, she manages the labor and employment matters for DynCorp International, a global company of approximately 25,000 employees worldwide. Prior to joining DynCorp International, Ms. Breshin-Otero was an attorney with the international law firms of Jones Day and Paul Hastings in Washington, D.C., and she also clerked for The Honorable Hector M. Laffitte, U.S. District Court, District of Puerto Rico.  Ms. Breshin-Otero is a former HNBA Regional President for HNBA Region V (DC, MD, VA, WV), and was one of 50 practitioners selected to participate in the highly prestigious HNBA/ACC Latina Executive Leadership Development Program. In addition, she was named a "Rising Legal Star" by the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia in 2006. 

Thomas A. Warnock is Senior Litigation Counsel at E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company ("DuPont"). In this capacity, Mr. Warnock is responsible for strategic management of commercial litigation and tort matters as well as providing preventive counseling in a fast-paced global business environment. Mr. Warnock is a past Co-Chair of DuPont Legal's Complex Commercial Litigation Practice Group and past Chair of the DuPont Legal Minority Counsel Network.  He is a past President of the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania, former board member of Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse, former board member of The Pan American Association of Philadelphia, founding board member of the Delaware Hispanic Bar Association, and current HNBA Deputy Regional President of the HNBA Region IV (DE and PA).  Mr. Warnock was recognized by the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility as a "2010 Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever" and by American Lawyer Media as a "2005 Lawyer on the Fast Track."  

Edye Aranda Bauer is a Member in the Corporate & Securities Section at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., an AmLaw 100 law firm. Her practice focuses on providing a full range of corporate legal services to private and public companies, including corporate formation, corporate governance counseling, merger and acquisition transactions, venture capital financings, technology transfer and licensing transactions and general business counseling.  Ms. Aranda Bauer is active in Mintz Levin's commitment to diversity and pro bono efforts, including serving on the Women's Initiative of the Diversity Committee, a member of MIATTY (the minority attorney group within the firm) and a sponsor of Women of Color In Law, Inc. as a pro bono client and as the corporate counsel to the organization.  In 2008, Ms. Aranda Bauer was named to the "Transcript Ten," by The San Diego Daily Transcript.  This honor is awarded to San Diego's top attorneys across all practice areas selected by the editorial team of the publication.  In addition, Ms. Aranda Bauer was also one of 50 practitioners selected to participate in the highly prestigious HNBA/ACC Latina Executive Leadership Development Program, and she is a member of the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association.
