Bob Carter Companies announces new name to reflect expanding purpose and corporate mission
SARASOTA, Fla., Nov. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Founded in 2011 by one of philanthropy's most storied individuals, Bob Carter Companies, a leading philanthropic and fundraising consulting firm serving clients in the United States and Mexico, has changed its name to Carter.
The name change, along with a new logo and brand, reflects the company's expanding commitment to helping nonprofit organizations maximize their philanthropic potential and improve organizational effectiveness.
Bob Carter will move into the position of Chairman. He will continue providing the company vision and leadership as well as advising and counseling clients. Over the years, Carter's reputation, along with company co-founder Steve Higgins, has attracted a cadre of philanthropy specialists to the company including CEOs, vice presidents, directors and strategists representing both breadth and depth in the nonprofit sector.

Higgins has been appointed Carter's new President, responsible for client development and service. Lela Diaz is now Executive Vice President with responsibility for marketing and quality control. Judy Bennett will continue in her role as Chief Operating Officer.
