Bonnier Names Eric Zinczenko CEO of Bonnier Corp.
NEW YORK, June 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Eric Zinczenko has been named CEO of Bonnier Corp., it was announced today by Tomas Franzen, CEO of Bonnier AB and Chairman of Bonnier Corp. His appointment is effective immediately. Mr. Zinczenko succeeds David Freygang who is retiring after many successful years. Freygang will be available as a consultant through the end of the year.

Eric Zinczenko, 47, joined Bonnier Corp. from Time Inc. in 2007 as part of Bonnier Corp.'s original management team and was named Executive Vice President in 2013. Prior to his promotion, Mr. Zinczenko led one of the company's largest business units, the Bonnier Men's Group, which includes three of the country's largest special-interest titles, Popular Science, Field & Stream, and Outdoor Life. He was responsible for expanding the brands into a multichannel media group with licensing, events, TV and film and is credited with signing a number of highly profitable partnerships for his brands. In 2011 he helped the company acquire Hearst's Cycle World.
Prior to joining Bonnier Corp., Mr. Zinczenko held successful management positions with Outside, The New Yorker, Bicycling, and Scuba Diving. He started his career at Rodale, rising to ad director of Bicycling. In 2008, Mr. Zinczenko was inducted into MIN's Sales Executive of the Year Hall of Fame for his contributions and success in publishing.
He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in economics, and resides in New York with his wife, Allison, and their two children.
