Boston Iconic Fashion Designer David Josef's Fashion To The Rescue 2016 to Support Arizona Based Aimee Takaha's Farm Sanctuary
NBC's 2014 'America's Got Talent' winner Mat Franco donates tickets to his hit Las Vegas show Magic Reinvented Nightly
BOSTON, April 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Boston's Iconic Designer David Josef has never met a good cause he didn't want to support, so when he was presented with the opportunity to raise money for Arizona based Aimee Takaha's Farm Animal Sanctuary, he didn't shy away. Not only did Josef jump at it; he enlisted the support of his many high profile friends, clients and models.
Now in its second consecutive year, Fashion To The Rescue 2016 has become a fundraising event featuring everyone's favorite things: fashion, charity, and farm animals. Fashion To The Rescue 2016 will bring attention to the need for rescue and support of abused animals without a voice. The event will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in Boston's historic West End.
Perhaps, his most noteworthy recruit for Fashion To The Rescue 2016 is the season 9 winner of NBC's 'America's Got Talent', Mat Franco, who is donating tickets and a backstage pass to his hit Las Vegas show Magic Reinvented Nightly. Franco just happens to be Josef's cousin.
Among the committee for this exceptional cause are some of Boston's top celebrities, including former talk show host, Marjorie Clapprood; philanthropic community leader, Mary Kakas; restaurant business mogul, Chris Spinazzola; fashion event producer and stylist, Kathy Benharris; and accessory designers Emily Kuvin and Amber Lu.
"Aimee Takaha is a living angel. I have seen her create miracles and I have witnessed the transformations in the animals she has rescued. Upon arriving at the farm, they are so full of fear and untrusting of humans and Aimee loves them back to life," says Designer David Josef.
Fashion To The Rescue 2016's proceeds will benefit Aimee Takaha's Farm Animal Sanctuary, a non-profit entity by animal rescuer Aimee Takaha, who has dedicated her life refuging abused or unwanted farm animals and horses from being slaughtered. She provides animals with food, shelter and most importantly- a caring and safe haven for them.
Other fashion and accessories' designers participating in Fashion To The Rescue 2016 conclude fashion designer, Denise Hajjar; the fashion house iamKreyol; and fashion accessories designers Lindsay Tia Reilly and Marie Galvin. The goal of Fashion To The Rescue is to raise more than $100,000 to support Aimee Takaha's Farm Animal Sanctuary's mission: to rescue, rehabilitate and to spread awareness of farm animals in need.
