BoxUnion Launches Be Empowered Series to Boost Confidence of Tween Girls
Dedicated To Empowering Girls Ages 8 to 12, BoxUnion Launches Second Be Empowered Series
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Oct. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- BoxUnion, a premium fitness boxing studio in Santa Monica, California, launches its second Be Empowered Workshop Series dedicated toward building the confidence of young women ages eight to twelve years old.
While recent studies show that 52 percent of young women report low self-esteem, the Be Empowered workshop brings together the unique mind/body benefits of boxing with education and teamwork to boost confidence.
For its second Fall series, BoxUnion is teaming up with The Sand Sisters to focus on self-love and self-care. In the 2 hour workshops, they'll provide tools that allow young women to focus on their inner superhero powers with an emphasis on finding balance.
"BoxUnion is all about empowering people not just by strengthening their bodies, but invigorating their minds as well," says BoxUnion Co-Founder Felicia Alexander, who found boxing at the age of 16 shortly after the sudden death of her father. "I know what boxing did for me at a young age, and I am passionate about providing opportunities for young girls to realize their inner strength."
While the first Be Empowered Series focused on finding their inner superhero sold out, the Oct. 14 and Oct. 28 workshops focus on healthy habits and building a strong sense of self that can be taken into teenage years and adulthood. During this workshop, each girl will have the opportunity to showcase their unique capabilities while completing our "I Am Awesome" and "Self-love Motto" worksheet, make new friends and connect to their inner strength.
The workshops will end with an invigorating 30-minute Punch Party on the bags at the studio, and all participants will leave with a goodie-bag.
