Boys & Girls Club Alum Named as Chief Development Officer

SEATTLE, May 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Boys & Girls Clubs of King County (BGCKC) has named Greg Lewis, a Rainier Vista Boys & Girls Club alum, as their Chief Development Officer.

The Chief Development Officer is directly responsible for creating and implementing a unified and comprehensive fundraising strategy for the organization. This funding allows Boys & Girls Clubs of King County to provide reasonable fees for membership, child care services, and summer camps, while also ensuring that no child is ever turned away for a family's inability to pay. Lewis will oversee every aspect of fundraising, including special events, corporate sponsorship, grants, legacy gifts, donor stewardship, and capital campaigns.

"Greg comes with a wealth of experience in major gifts and stewardship, most notably his history in building successful fundraising efforts from the ground up. Lewis most recently served as the Senior Director of Development for the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity at the University of Washington, raising millions in scholarship and endowment funds. Prior to his executive roles, he played professional football for the Denver Broncos after being recruited as an All-American football player at the University of Washington from 1987 to 1990.
