Brain Cancer Survivor Creates 4th Annual Fall Brain Cancer Fundraiser
PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y., Oct. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- October is New Years for Heidi Gottlieb. It was October 2007 that she was diagnosed with a very rare type of brain cancer. She was told that her chances of survival were slim, but she's still here. Her doctors now have called her a medical marvel. In October 2011 she started her non-profit Brain Matters and walked 250-miles to Mass General Hospital where she had been treated.
October is the month that despite the times during the year that she deals with certain medical downfalls, she knows she's very lucky to be here. Ms. Gottlieb says, "There are not many brain cancer patients that live to talk about it…who live to raise funds for further research for the cause. We all need to do more! That's why at Brain Matters we work hard to put together these fundraisers and it's terrific the people and companies that donate their time and the amazing experiences we're able to auction on our Charitybuzz auction #BrainMattersBuzz from October 6th through 9AM on Thursday, October 22nd."
Brain Matters auction has 10 amazing donated events this year. You'll be able to get VIP tickets and celebrity backstage tours to hugely popular TV and Broadway shows. There's something for most everyone to contribute to this important cause.
Think your child "oughta be in pictures"? Then you'll want to grab the opportunity for them to meet with Abrams Artists. Abrams is one of the biggest Broadway, film and television talent agents in NY and LA! How about George Balanchine's Nutcracker for Christmas at Lincoln Center with a backstage tour and another special perk included?
