Brainzsquare Releases A Network-Based Disk Wiping & Management Solution, SECUDRIVE Sanitizer Enterprise 4.0
SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Brainzsquare, Inc. has launched SECUDRIVE Sanitizer Enterprise 4.0 (SE 4.0), their enterprise disk wiping management solution, which can be centrally operated and managed through the network. Before disposal and reuse of PCs, SE 4.0 makes it possible to easily wipe disks remotely and to collectively monitor the process through the network.
SE 4.0 provides two different disk wiping methods: (1) An administrator can forcibly wipe PCs remotely after they deploy an MSI file to PCs using AD group policy, or (2) Users can wipe their own disks if they download a disk wiping executable file where policies are preset by an administrator. All operations after disk wiping execution are automatic and do not require the bothersome task of additional BIOS setup or OS booting necessary for traditional wiping.
For situations where a PC is unbootable, SE 4.0 offers additional wiping methods that can execute the wiping process via PXE network booting or CD/USB booting.
SE 4.0 supports internationally certificated algorithms such as DoD as well as Gutmann and is compatible with various types of disks, such as SATA, SCSI, USB and Firewall. All disk data, including the OS, hidden areas, hidden partitions and HPA/DCO can be wiped completely. Disk health through S.M.A.R.T. is displayed in order to anticipate any possible hard disk failures. By using network-based automatic disk wiping, thousands of PCs can be wiped simultaneously. Also, multi-thread technology makes it faster to wipe multiple disks in each machine.
"Many enterprises outsource disk wiping before the disposal or recycling of PCs because it is a bothersome or unfamiliar task. Consequently, many worry about lost or stolen data from decommissioned disks when outsourcing the disk wiping process. By using SE 4.0, an administrator can remotely wipe disks in their original location first and then relocate the disks for disposal or recycling. SE 4.0 makes this 'wipe before moving' process viable because the wiping process is extremely easy. We plan to market this innovative solution not only to customers who worry about lost data from outsourcing disk wiping, but also to IT asset disposal service providers who want to provide their customers with better and safer service." –Simon Kang, CEO of Brainzsquare.
