Braver Stern Securities Adds Key Hire to Grow Trading Operation in New York

NEW YORK, Nov. 4, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Braver Stern Securities LLC, an independent broker-dealer, announced today that Peter D. Howard has joined the firm as a Managing Director and Head Trader of CDOs, CLOs and esoteric asset-backed securities.

Mr. Howard has extensive experience in specialized asset-backed securities products, and will be instrumental in developing these business lines at Braver Stern. Commenting on the hire, Joseph Valentine, Head of Fixed Income Trading, said, "The addition of Peter is another step towards our goal of growing the firm by building out strategic business lines with the addition of talented people. Mr. Howard joins Braver Stern from Cross Point Capital, LLC, where he most recently served as Head Trader focused on all securitized products. Prior to that, he spent three years with Peloton Partners, LLP as a Partner and head of the Peloton ABS Master Fund. Mr. Howard previously served as Director of Portfolio Optimization at Dresdner Bank in London, and began his career as a Vice President and ABS Portfolio Manager at BNP Paribas. He earned an MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business at NYU, and a BA in History/Political Science and English from Rutgers College.
