Brekford Awarded over $2.2 Million in Contracts for Vehicle Upfitting Services

HANOVER, Md., Oct. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Brekford Corp. (OTCBB, OTCQB: "BFDI")("Brekford" or "the Company"), a leading provider of public safety technology and automated traffic enforcement solutions, vehicle upfitting, and rugged mobile technology, today announced that it has been awarded contracts with a cumulative value of approximately $2.2 million for vehicle upfitting services from an unnamed Federal law enforcement agency and a quasi-government electric power utility located in the Eastern U.S. 

The contract with the quasi-government utility, which is valued at up to $1.6 million, represents a blanket purchase agreement for the purchase and installation of up to 283 rugged IT Panasonic Toughbook mobile computers, along with related communications and computer vehicle mounting equipment, during the fourth quarter of 2012.

The Company also announced that an unnamed Federal law enforcement agency that consists of a headquarters component, 25 field divisions, a National Academy and numerous field locations, has awarded Brekford a $0.6 million contract for the comprehensive upfitting of a variety of equipment configurations for over 160 vehicles.  The Company expects to fulfill its delivery requirements under the terms of this contract during the quarter ending December 31, 2012.
