Bridger Group Completes the South's First Energy Station
Bridger Group, through its subsidiary, Red River CNG, adds Compressed Natural Gas fueling station along I-49
SHREVEPORT, La., Oct. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Bridger Group, LLC through its subsidiary Red River CNG, LLC has opened a fast-fill compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station at the Relay Station located at I-49 and Highway 175 in Frierson, Louisiana. The addition of CNG marks the South's first Energy Station where fleets are able to fuel with gasoline, diesel, compressed natural gas or liquefied natural gas. The Station's strategic location in the heart of the Haynesville Shale along Interstate-49 completes the corridor necessary for CNG vehicles to travel between North and South Louisiana.
Bridger's CNG station joins a growing network of publically accessible Compressed Natural Gas Stations and is in close proximity to Jimmy Granger Ford in Stonewall, Louisiana who has partnered with Bridger Group to bring more awareness and access to CNG vehicles in Louisiana. Jimmy Granger Ford sells and services CNG vehicles.
"Bridger's CNG station allows the citizens of the State of Louisiana to capitalize on its own locally produced natural resource," said James Ballengee, Bridger Group's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, who continued, "while decreasing America's dependency on foreign imports of oil."
CNG fuel will be sold at $1.79 per GGE (Gas Gallon Equivalent), roughly 50% of the price of the equivalent amount of gasoline (Louisiana Daily Average of $3.57/gallon) or 46% of the price of diesel fuel (Louisiana Daily Average of $3.92/gallon). Drivers of compressed natural gas vehicles can expect an average fill time of 4 minutes for a 16 GGE tank. The station requires users to pay at the pump and is capable of accepting all major credit cards and fleet cards.
