Bright Starts™ Celebrates Fifth Year of the Pink Power Mom Program

Each year Bright Starts celebrates eight mothers who have battled breast cancer and dedicated themselves to helping others in the struggle. Bright Starts is inviting families and friends to nominate a mother who has served as an inspiration throughout her battle with breast cancer, as a 2011 Pink Power Mom. Eight women will be selected from the nominees to receive a $5,000 donation to the breast cancer charity of their choice, as well as special pampering gifts and a weekend in Atlanta, culminating in the fifth anniversary gala.

From the eight 2011 Pink Power Moms, one woman will be selected as the 2012 Pink Power Super Mom. The Pink Power Super Mom serves as the face of the program for the year and receives an additional donation to the breast cancer charity of her choice. This year's Pink Power Super Mom, Mary Ann Wasil Nilan of Milford, CT, received a contribution to the charity she launched, the Get In Touch Foundation, and will appear in advertisements in Parenting and Fit Pregnancy.
