Brighter Collective Moves to Exciting New Location in Playa Vista
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Brighter Collective, a Los Angeles-based adaptive agency, announced the opening of its new office on the Hercules Campus in Playa Vista.
Brighter took possession of Building Three, a 15,000 square-foot space that was the former site of Howard Hughes' helicopter hangar and home to the cockpit of the legendary Spruce Goose.
The office is located on the 450,000-square-foot Hercules Campus, a hotbed of creative and tech activity that is also home to YouTube, Fox Studios and Belkin, among others.
Brighter was the first tenant to sign on to occupy space on the campus, which was envisioned by award-winning Los Angeles-based developers The Ratkovich Company.
Brighter's decision to relocate its offices from Irvine was deliberate.
"With a university-like feel, the campus is the ultimate fit for us. Being surrounded by other companies that embrace a creative, entrepreneurial spirit was important to us in our decision to move here," said Dr. Blaine Behringer, Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer.
The new space was also chosen because it aligned with the company's rebranding initiative. Brighter was formerly Earthbound Media Group, but a growing portfolio of clients and disciplines led the 13-year-old company to rebrand.
"We saw [the rebrand] as the next logical step in the process of redefining how we grow our business and how we work alongside clients," said Behringer.
Brighter's leadership team and staff worked closely to refine the agency's brand identity so that it was a more accurate representation of the company today.
"We chose the name Brighter because we believe that we use our ingenuity, positive attitude and intellect to make our clients' lives brighter," said Damien Navarro, Managing Partner and Chief Visionary Officer. "The word encapsulates our dedication to continuous improvement together and captures the vibrant personality of the agency's talent."
Similarly, the Brighter team worked closely with HLW – the interior design firm known for working with Google, YouTube and Red Bull – to make the space reflect the agency's unique culture and to ensure that the new space inspired creativity and promoted integration.
Whiteboard walls, a meditation room and open meeting spaces bring the company's culture and character to life – but they also foster a spirit of collaboration for clients.
"The intentional design affords everyone a collaborative work space. There are no private offices, which serves to maintain the company culture of open doors, transparency and collaboration," said Lawrence Williford, Partner.
