BrightVolt makes strategic growth move with the addition of battery sales leader, James Pope.
LAKELAND, Fla., July 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- BrightVolt, the global leader in the customized design, development and scale manufacturing of ultra-thin film, flexible batteries, announced today the appointment of James Pope as VP - Power Solutions.
The addition of an experienced and tenured battery sales executive comes at explosive time for BrightVolt. In his new post, Pope will manage the growth and development of BrightVolt's battery sales and channel distribution as BrightVolt gears up for the substantial growth in IoT, focusing on the medical, sensors, labels, wearables and smart card markets.

Pope brings with him 28 years of experience in the battery and power industry where he has generated significant revenue growth for both domestic and international sales throughout his career. Pope joins BrightVolt from VARTA where he led National Business Development. Prior to VARTA he headed OEM Sales for Electrochem Solutions, a subsidiary of Greatbatch Ltd., a $170 million global power solutions manufacturer. In that role, Pope was directly responsible for significantly increasing OEM sales revenue in both medical and military market segments. Before that, Pope held several positions of increasing responsibility with Ultralife Corporation, a commercial and government battery design company.
