Following a thorough tender process, Premium Credit has been selected by British Gas to provide premium finance to its home insurance customers, enabling them to pay for their insurance premiums using convenient instalments.
From July, British Gas customers buying building and contents cover through their online 'quote and buy' journey will gain access to Premium Credit's market leading digital integration solution. This delivers a seamless customer journey which includes real time decisioning for financing, complete documentation and setup of their credit agreement, entirely at the point of sale. Customers are then able to conveniently manage their accounts via their Premium Credit online account and app.
The real time finance decision and digital signature of the credit agreement at point of sale is a market first for the premium finance industry, meeting the expectations of the regulator while still delivering a smooth customer journey. This means that brokers can be confident that their client has been accepted for credit when placing them on cover.
